Day 56 - carbonera
First thing we did today was take an early train back to Rome. It was another really hot day so we spent some time relaxing in our air conditioned room. We were moving to a new hostel today at a campground about 20 minutes out of Rome, near the Vatican. So we eventually packed our bags, checked out, and headed to the new place. As soon as we arrived we dropped our stuff off in the tent and headed straight for the pool. When the weather finally cooled down after 6pm we ventured into the north part of the city, the last area we haven't seen yet. We both agreed that it was one of the nicest parts of Rome we have seen; more beautiful fountains and gorgeously decorated narrow streets full of flower covered balconies. We walked around here for a while and then sat down for dinner. Tanya tried one of the famous italian pasta dishes, carbonara, consisting of spaghetti tossed in a white creamy sauce mixed with bacon and egg; very very delicious!
