Day 49 - off to Italy

This morning we all helped clean the house when we woke up. When we were finished a few of us went for a walk to visit the donkeys; owned by Francis's mom. They were so cute and friendly, coming up to us for attention. There were other farm animals as well such as chickens, goats, and geese. Eventually we waded back to the house to pack the car. Our friends from Amsterdam were driving us back to Nice in their rental. The scenery on the drive back was unbelievable. Magnificent mountains, beautiful old bridges, para gliders, and clear blue bodies of water. So far the most eye pleasing place we have seen. When we got back to Nice we caught our bus to Genova at the airport. We were pleasantly surprised to find out that we were the only two passengers on the bus! We had the whole thing to ourselves. The seats reclined really far back, it had wifi and plugs, and we could sit wherever we wanted. Best bus ride ever. Not to mention the stunning view of all the mansions on the mountains and the water as we drove through the French and Italian coast. Our jaws literally dropped in awe after every bend. Upon arrival in Genova we found our apartment and went straight to bed, excited to explore Italy for the first time the next morning.
