Day 28 - Montgat

Originally we were planning on going to Sitges this day; a town an hour south of Barcelona that we heard had great beaches and nice sight seeing. But instead we ended up going to Montgat because a few of our hostel mates were headed there and convinced us go with them. This town was about an hour north of Barcelona. The beach we went to had just recently opened up a wakeboarding park, Malamar, so we had plans to try that. Our slot was at 5pm so we went to the private beach right next to it while we waited. The water was so gorgeous! We swam a bunch and did some stand up paddle boarding. Finally when it was our turn we got all geared up. I've always wanted to try wakeboarding so I was very excited! This type of park didn't pull you by boat, instead there's an electric line that someone controls  with a button. It was pretty hard to say the least, I wasn't very good haha. I fell a lot and when you fall you have to swim to wherever the rope is to grab it again, but this is very difficult when you're wearing a bulky helmet, life vest, and have a board strapped to your feet. After a crazy wakeboarding workout we enjoyed one of their popular and most delicious slow roasted chickens - yummmmm!
