Today we decided to go on a free bike tour that is ran by one of the hostels In the city. Biking is quite prominent in Barcelona; there are so many rentals available and many bike lanes making it a very easy way to get around. The tour started at the beach, la barceloneta. The beach was man made for the Olympics. The sand was imported from Egypt, the palm trees from Hawaii and some quaker parrots flew over from Africa. All these things make Barcelona feel very tropical, ad although its not like this naturally it defiantly suits the amazing weather. Nothing but sun and hot days since we've been here. After this we biked over to the sagrada familia and learned a bit about Gaudi and his dedication to building the church. From there we went to passeig de gracia and saw some more casas built by Gaudi. The arc de Triomph followed and then our last stop was the beautiful parc de la Ciutadella. There were actually a lot more stops but those were the most popular ones.
