Our first full day in San Antonio was bittersweet. We went for some cheap breakfast where we could use wifi and painfully listened to some obnoxious drunk British girl yelling the whole time (it was 12 noon). Ryan was arriving on the 4pm bus to come visit us so we decided to go check out the beach while we waited for him. As we walked closer to the beach we came to realize that San Antonio was mainly populated by young British vacationers who were only there for one reason - to party. The main beach wasn't nearly as nice as the beach in ES CANAR but we made do. After Ryan arrived we got some dinner and and then later that night we went out in the west end. It was very similar to Bairro alto in Lisbon, you get hounded by ppl trying to sell you random things in the streets and trying to get you to come into certain bars, except here it was all tourists whereas in lisbon there were many locals. We were quite disoriented from all the commotion until we bumped into a few guys that we met the day before who were British, like everyone else, but were living/working there and actually very nice. They offered to take us for a little tour around the town and showed us all the better and free places we could get into. Our friends took care of us and made sure that none of us got lost, we were very happy that we finally met some nice and normal people in San Antonio.
